Magnesite is a naturally occurring stone of magnesium carbonate. It has matrix like turquoise and takes color well, like turquoise. It is a less expensive alternative to turquoise without forfeiting the color, look and weight of genuine turquoise. Malachite results from the weathering of copper ore and has beautiful continuous matrix of vivid green color.
